Another Way Montessori – 33min – 2011

This is another project born out of restlessness.  After moving out Salt Lake City, I didn’t have much to document.  I hadn’t quite started shooting ‘Kitchen Stories’ yet, if my memory serves me right.  So, when my wife got hired as an assistant teacher at Another Way Montessori, I was happy to offer my services. Diane Bode, the founder of the school, supported my role as documentarian, and gave me access to all of the archival footage shot by others over the years.  I’d never worked with kids or horses, so it took me out of my comfort zone.  

There’s no drama or conflict.  Just a calm portrait of this historic and scenic location, as the seasons go by.
